The most unrefined film festival in Poland is back for the eighth time! And since an octopus has eight tentacles, this is a jubilee edition for us!
From August 5-10, 2025, the Octopus Film Festival will take you on another journey through extraordinary genre cinema and provide a ride through the most interesting places in Gdańsk.
For the next few weeks, you can expect regular doses of festival announcements – and as always, you know there’s plenty to look forward to.
During the eighth edition, you will be able to see, among other things, Polish premieres of genre films and choose the best of them in the Main Competition, participate in retrospectives of recognized creators, take part in workshops and unique meetings, listen to masterclasses as part of the Octopus Industry section, see titles presented as part of original thematic cycles, visit the nooks and crannies of Gdańsk during special screenings, experience the most original short films as part of Octopus Shorts, and remember your childhood years during screenings as part of Octopus Shorts.
