Polish Metal Alliance | 40 lecie WOLF SPIDER

The Polish Metal Alliance project was created in March 2020 during the first lockdown. Vocalist Maciej Koczorowski /Chainsaw/ invited several musician friends to record a cover of Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper”. The line-up featured experienced guitarist Jarek Chilkiewicz from Piotr Cugowski’s band /ex Bracia/. He has also worked with many artists, including Kasia Kowalska, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Ewelina Flinta, and bands such as My Riot, Sweet Noise and House of Death. The rhythm section was made up of drummer Łukasz Tomczak from Immalum and Sorry Boys, bassist Tomasz Targosz /CETI/, and second guitarist Marek “Spider” Pająk known from Vader. The second vocalist was Krzysiek Sokołowski from Nocny Kochanek, and the line-up was completed by Piotr Cugowski and Polish heavy metal legend Wojciech Hoffmann from Turbo.

The song quickly became a hit circulating online.

The unexpectedly positive feedback from fans motivated Polish Metal Alliance to continue — half a year later they released another classic: Judas Priest’s “Painkiller” featuring Grzegorz Skawiński /Kombii/ as a guest.

Another few hundred thousand views on YouTube led to yet another recording. This time the band took on “I Want It All” by Queen, with the line-up expanded by Wojtek Cugowski (vocals & guitar), Tomek Struszczyk from Turbo, and keyboardist Mirek Skorupski from White Highway.

Further releases included “Stars” from the Hear’n Aid project, which featured as many as 25 musicians including Małgorzata Ostrowska and Grzegorz Kupczyk.

The 5th track to land online was the Slayer classic “Raining Blood” featuring Virgin Snatch vocalist Łukasz “Zielony” Zieliński.

The 6th release introduced a change on drums — Łukasz Tomczak was replaced by Beata Polak /Wolf Spider, Armia, 2TM23/. This time the band took on the German classic “Metal Heart” by Accept, followed by the seventh track — “Stargazer” by Rainbow.

Next songs recorded by Polish Metal Alliance and praised by fans included Metallica’s “Master of Puppets” featuring Kasia Kowalska and Piotr Cugowski, as well as Pantera’s “I’m Broken” featuring Krzysztof Zalewski.

They continued with Journey’s “Separate Ways” and Van Halen’s “When It’s Love”.

The years 2023–2025 were intense, as the project began performing live at events such as Jarocin Festival, the annual Metal End of the Year in Bydgoszcz, and concerts organized by Galicja Productions. Most of their shows were sold out.

New recordings also appeared: Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” featuring Juan Carlos Cano from House of Death and finalist of The Voice of Poland, Pantera’s “Cemetary Gates”, and the cult “Abigail” by King Diamond brilliantly performed by Krzysiek Sokołowski. On drums appeared Michał Łysejko known from Decapitated and Dieth. At the end of 2024, a video for Billy Idol’s hit “Rebel Yell” was released online, featuring Artur Gadowski, Peter from Vader, Ania Rusowicz, Paweł Małaszyński and Clodie. Another video released on YouTube was Megadeth’s “Symphony of Destruction” performed by Skaya from Quo Vadis and “Zielony” from Virgin Snatch.

Over 5 years, more than 50 musicians have taken part in the project, which continues to grow, plan concerts, and record new material. It is not excluded that original songs will be recorded in the future.
